In order to remain a certified WBE of the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), through WBEC-West, annual re-certification supported by a site visit every other year is required.  This will ensure continuity of your certified status.  

Recertification for your company is easy! Just log into the online database by clicking here, enter your username and password and click on "recertification." You will be guided through the process via the database. Once you have completed the online process, please return the supporting documents listed below, including the notarized Affidavit, along with the non-refundable processing fee, made payable to WBEC-West. Please note that the non-refundable processing fee is based on your company's gross revenue from your most recent 12-month tax return.

Required supporting documents for recertification:

•  Printed copy of your WBENC application

• Signed and dated Re-Certification Affidavit

• Check for recertification processing fee (see chart below)

• If there have been any changes since last certified in the ownership, management, or business structure of the company, please provide documentation (i.e. new or cancelled stock certificates, letters of resignation, etc.)

• Most recent federal tax return with all schedules or application for Automatic Extension of Time form 4868

• W2’s for all owners, directors and officers.

• Most recent financial statements including Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss (Must be same year-end as tax returns)

• Most recent Board of Directors and Shareholder's meeting minutes (applicable for all corporations)

• LLC Operating Agreement (if applicable)

• Amendments to corporate bylaws, LLC, or partnership agreements

• Current or new licenses

• Resumes of any new owners, directors or officers

• Copy of current lease agreement (if applicable)

• If there are any items that do not apply to you or there have been no changes, please list all items on one page and indicate that these are items that do not apply and mail that in with your recertification package.
